Something called mio3? or spelt like that. Looked very interesting trying to work this animal out myself now, Its one of those pieces which is 80% planning and 15% modelling and 5% wishing you had a isdx

I suppose You can hit that "duck" with common ammo caliber Pro/E WF2 without ISDX

two ways of doing that

a)upper part with VSS -question is only if it should be conic arcs or circle driven. Bottom part of it- I assume it is ordinary revolve shape, if not VSS with relation driven profile(sinus)

b)Boundary blend for upper part of it - maybe within a use of Bart`s toupee method

I my opinion those circular cuts placed everywhere distort overall outlook of it

just my two groszys

I've been messing around with the "duck" a little bit and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to approach the 4 angled holes on the top portion..?

Looks like a good way to get up to speed on WF4.

Any better images than the one above? I'm thinking something larger.

Not sure because its hard to tell from the picture but those holes may not be angled. They look likethey may just be thru holes.

come on man ...I have just set TraceSketch from those old pictures .. I dont wanna do that again :) ... interesting model ... thinking about that and hope am gonna do this in free time :(

Nice on Maudib, I kept this simple too. 11 minutes

Boundary Blend, simple surface extrusions, merges and mirrors thats about it. WF4.

I did this byhybrid modelingmethod (solid and surface in one part)i didnt pay much attention to continuity issues there ... but it isnt so big problem there ..

people dont forget on WARP super feature ! it can be very powerful .. .and especially in model like that.

warp in pro/e sucks(WF 2.0)

I played a while with it some time ago, I am disappointed.

Forget about ease of use

I did that model in Wildfire 4 and yes.... warp in WF 2.0 is really nothing much ... PTC was just starting new progressivesuperfeature in Wildfire 1.0and ittook a time to do the serious feature...but I think that warp ispretty good inWF 3 (warp tree .. ease to use .. parameters .. ) ... it is just about designer.. how high are his skills in modeling and so on .. of course we cannot compare ISDX or Pro/Surfacing with warp superfeature because it is just additional feature for some special methods or techniques... But it can be very useful sometimes.....(exported geometry, modeling without knowndimensions of model, conceptual design, industrial design issues.....)

myabe I`ve not played long enough with Warp in WF 4.0 -

I`ve just took few minutes by now, to check if it really surpases what I had seen in WF 2.0 -

... but there are nothing to be named revultionary progress towards revolution.

Again - there are small overdue enhancment like small squeres to handle with "warped" effects, still introduced within old, emberassing interface.

I could be wrong - let me out of this mistake then...

I read once that American Standards takes advantage of it(Warp) in its bathroom appliance. Maybe then there is a knowledge(a way of using it) I lack up to now
