Metal Casting

Well I am in the metal casting industry. We make castings with cores in the middle. Well one part that I am modeling is real tough. Any way I want to extract the center of a pipe fitting. I drew a 3D model of the core. I want to extract the core material for the center of my part. Is this possible and if so can someone give me advice. thanks.
