i amdoing analysis onForged steel clevise.

please help me out.

Thanks for ur replies

i could found the details for steel 1035. for various categories like cold rolled, hot rolled with different radius etc etc. And the yeild properties are changing for each category.

Icouldnt find one with the word "Forged"

So please help me out. what to do??????????????

I'm no forging expert, but I would guess that the yield (and other
properties) would depend on whether or not the part was annealed
following forging. Any chance you can get your hands on a sample
of your material and thow it on a pull-tester?

If you can wait until Monday, I'll look up 1035 Forged in my Metals Handbook.

Sarita, how do the properties provided by the material manufacturer compare to those give on matweb? Anywhere close?

hi ,

i am sorry to say this , what actually happened is in the catalog they specified that hte material is 1035, but when i spoke with them they said that the material is 1030.
