We need to find someone willing to share their English, and metric data sets for numerous materials.
PTC is not offering this with ProE beyond the few found in our folder:
C:\Proeng\proe2001\jlink\jlink_appls\jlink_elev
They include:
AL2404
AL6061
ST1040
ST304
copper
molybdenum
titanium
This sounds like a nice start, but I am not sure their numers are right. Upon ASSIGNing said material(s), reviewing the part's density, outputs wrong values - big time.
Maybe it is off by 12 cubed (1728) referring to cubic foot versus cubic inch etc.
If someone has a clean and verified working set of material assignments that they can direct me to, or offer, I'd be most thankful. We use both English and metric in designing opthalmic instruments, so aluminum, steel(s), brass and glass material data sets would also be of great interest!
We are using rel 2001 build 2002310, and Pro/INTRALINK 3.2.
We have 5 seats of Pro/E at this facility, with three directs and two contractors using it in design, engineering, and manufacturing.
