material addition & configuration

can anyone plz tell me how to add material to a particular prduct...and also how to add configuration in catia V5...

You'll have to assign a material to individual parts of a product. This is done by clicking on the Apply Material button. If you want to create a custom material, then you'll have to work inside Material Library (a different module found under Infrastructure). Changing configuration is done from Tools>Configuration or Tools>Options (depending on what you want to do)
