Load on circular surface

good evening.
i am trying to make a mechanical analysis for a lifting
lug,

i am trying to apply load only to the upper half of the
circle, as it can be seen, its applied on all of it. i did
try to select the upper surface, no good
can this be done on pro e?? Please advice

You have to define a surface region on the part of the surface you want to select. then you can select this surface region.
