lifting feature onto sketch

Is there a command, which will allow me to create a drawing by lifting a feature from an existing part; Solid Works equivalent of

 

[1huffman]

I tend to use dumb or non linked solid or surface features to create additional geometry


just copy any or all entities into a new part file and paste with no link


the little red lightning bolt on the design tree tells you that your geometry


is not linked

go to gsd & select the command "Extract",select that feature line & ok.Now u can c that line as a different entity now u can trim As u required.
