I'm just starting to get into layers. Recently found out that one can apply a different layer status for every view in a drawing. score!
However, I seem to be having a problem implementing it. I've got a layer on the model in question which contains all of the parts that make up a wall (which I would like to hide in 1 view). The probem is, I can only seem to get this to work if I hide all of the parts in that layer individualy. Hiding the layer itself seem to have no effect.
I'm curious to know why this might occur. Is there a limit to the number of items that I can hide/isolate/etc. (I see a message now and again in the log about there being more than 500 items on a layer.)
Does it matter that the pieces added to this layer on different assebmly levels.
help!
