Is it possible in solidworks to insert a part into another part and have all features included such that an association with an external file is removed?
I would like to combine two parts into one, but do not want the final part to reference an external file. Breaking external links leaves the body "dumb" (no longer parametric). If the inserted part was a simple geometry, then rebuilding it in the new part would be the easiest approach. However, both parts are complex.
So, is dealing with external references and featureless multi-bodies the only option for combining parts?
