Pro/E should be better enabled to import DXFs. It should be able to create a new drawing from DXF and/or it should change the format based on the original DXF size/format.
I use the 2d drawing mode of Pro/E or Wildfire to import 2d dxf files. When you export from the drawing it comes out faceted upon entering the part as an import. I have had luck exporting a dxf as IGES from Alias but could not get the curves this time. Still came into the Pro/E Part faceted. Humm. I want true radius values!
I just did this import in Wildfire and the curves come out as curves unlike that in 2001. I always struggled with those darn facets. Another + for Wilfire.
