ILINK_TK_ACCESS_License

Has anyone seen a toolkit app stop accessing a subject license? We have a third party app that has stopped working. It appears to use pro_comm_msg.exe along with the subject license. Pro_comm_msg will launch and run when Pro/E is launched. I've added the pro_comm_msg_exe environment variable but this isn't helping. Many searches on PTC KB to no avail (also have a call into PTC). Any ideas as to how to get the toolkit app to reconnect to pro_comm_msg.exe and the license?

Thanks!

Hello,

Are you sure that the application is not a mixed Pro/TOOLKIT - Pro/INTRALINK TOOLKIT application ?

If the application use INTRALINK function, it needs the INTRALINK Acces licence to acced to the commonspace...

Here's some additional info. This toolkit app is connecting to our CS folder to check out files to a WS then "backup" via Pro/E WF3 to a work folder. The files in the work folder are merged with XML data prior to import into SAP.

So, it is sure that your application is a mixed Pro/TOOLKIT and Pro/INTRALINK Toolkit application and needs the ILINK_TK_ACCESS_License to check out files from tjhe CS to a WS.

The Pro/TOOLKIT licences is needed to unlock a Pro/TOOLKIT Application.

But when you use the Pro/INYTRALINK Toolkit API you need the ILINK_TK_ACCESS_Licence to connect the application to the CS. There is no unlocking mecanisme. The ILINK_TK_ACCESS_Licence is like a client access licence ofr INTRALINK.
