HI TO ALL

HOW TO USE GENERIC PART FILES IN AN ASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY ALSO WANT USE SAME GENIRIC FROM THE PART FILES

Make your generic assembly using generic parts. Then in the assembly add the components that you want to vary to the table. Add lines for the assembly instances. Then use the tools/replace with family member function to populate the table.

Dear Divyanandh,
If you are new to Family Tables, a thorough study of
Family Tables under Proe/Fundamentals is a must. You
will then understand how to use families of
assemblies...
It runs into about 15 pages.... but worth the effort.

Hi Divyanand,

if you plan on later replacing family table items, dont use the genrenic, but give the generic a good descriptive name and create an instance and use that.
Also try to avoid nested family tables
