How to create a drawing for assembly mechanism

Arul

New member
For example I got a cylinder and piston assembled together using a connections.I want to create a drawing to show both

the views closed and open positions in such a way that to mention the stroke length.

I don't want to rename the assembly&make the two views.

Is there any betterway to do that...

Thanks in advance.

In the mechanism mode, there's an option to take a snapshot & use it in drawings...

In drawing mode, change the view type to exploded and pick the state you saved in Mechanism. Each mechanism location is stored like an exploded state.
