how do i make extrusions to say normal to surface Wildfire 2

please help me i am trying to create a fill pattern that extudes things normal to the surface its going up to.



please explain how this is done ...maybe with points and then a referance pattern? help or ever send a quick model as an example.

If I understand you correctly, just use Thru Next for the depth option.

create a point (say PNT0) on the surface. Then create an axis normal to the surface and through this point. Create an offset point (say PNT1) offset from point on surface and along axis you just create.

Now create a plane through the second point (normal to it) and

make your extrusion. Now you can pattern but I would suggest use dimensional pattern.
