I'm a long timeSolidworks user and just getting
started with Catia. Sorry if this is a noob question but here it is: How can
you create a groove feature in a .CATProduct
assembly?
The simplest description of my assembly is a round steel
tube welded end to end, concentrically to a round steel bar. I have .CATPart models
representing each of these two parts and a .CATProduct assembly consisting of both.
In the actual manufacturing process, both parts have some
machine work performed on them prior to welding. Once the two pieces are welded
together, there are subsequent lathe ops performed on the complete assembly. I
want to add these final turned profiles (ID and OD) at the .CATProduct assembly
level.
