Graphics Problem

Some of my clients experience some graphics problem with pro/e wf3.0 with xp sp2. They are mainly intel mother board. What I experienced is that there is no problem with amd processor, it has problem with only intel processor. And also the amd pcs, which I tried were with nvidia graphics card. I also downloaded the latest drivers for some of intel pcs, which solved a problem a bit but not fully. Is there any clue ?

The following is valid for ANY AND ALL CAD software:

(1) Never, ever ever use any third-party mouse drivers, such as those from Microsoft (Intellipoint) or from Logitech. Use the standard Micsosoft Windows mouse drivers. Use Uninstall to remove the drivers. You may need the original Windows XP SP2 CD to re-install the generic ones.

(2) Never use any drivers other than those specifically certified by the CAD vendor for use with a particular graphics card: these are frequently NOT the latest available. Be extremely careful with any laptop/mobile workstation in particular, as these have embedded graphics chipsets: the mobile version of a graphics 'card' is NOT necessarily the same as the desktop version. In the case of a laptop/mobile workstation, do not install any driver of any kind without the specific authorization of the laptop mobile workstation manufacturer.

chetanbhungani is probably referring to boards with built-in graphics, correct? I sincerely doubt that graphics will be affected by the CPU.

Add a secondary graphics card!

Intel buiilt-in grahics controllers are NOT certified by any CAD vendor. They may work or they may not.

I like to refer to the current crop of onboard solutions as graphics decelerators.
