getting rid of parts during animation

How on earth do you get rid of or delete a part during an animation.



If I hide the part then take a snapshot this doesnt work and I suspect that if I were to delete the part it would delete the part from the whole animation snapshots.



Anyone got any ideas?

Try using Layering or Simplified Reps

Tried those, it has a knock on effect again and doesnt show the part for the whole animation.



What I want to do is have a parent part disapear during my animation so that I can show how a mechanism works.

Why not disable the constraints for that component, and then move it off screen so it's no longer visible (like having it fly away)?
