Getting Model Units in Web-link

hvontres

New member
Hello,
I am just getting started using web-link and Wildfire 2. I am trying to write a script that recursively report the mass properties for an assembly. In order for this to work, I need to figure out how to query a solid model for the length and mass units used. Does anybody have any examples on how to do someting like this?

Thank you very much,

Here is the response I got from PTC:

Regarding your issue:
I am looking for a Pro/Web.Link API call to return the units uses for a
model.

I apologize for the
delay. There is currently no direct access to solid units in Pro/Web.Link.
Starting with Wildfire 3, pfcModelInfoExportInstructions.Create() can be used to
export the equivalent information provided by Pro/ENGINEER #Info #Model. However
there was an issue with this working in Wildfire 2.0 (Solution 131219). The only
current alternate technique would be to use a macro to do #Info #Model #Save
from the embedded browser and parse the file, or use
ProMdlPrincipalunitsystemGet() in a Pro/TOOLKIT Task Based
DLL.
