geometric optimization

hi,

I want to develope a small application which would optimize the geometric parameters of a part.. I have the optimization code in C++ and java. But I am having a tough time to get started with pro/e .Can anybody show me how to retrive parameter values from Proe to C++/java codes.

You can use familytab.You can retrive familytab parameters in c++ codes. I have done some simple work about this.If you need the C++ codes about this, maybe I an help you.
