.frm borders

Can anyone help me out?

I need A,B,C,D, and E size border .frm files.

The ones at this company are all screwed up, wrong size, clipping, etc. etc. etc..

I have exported all the tiltle blocks and tables that I will need, but i need the proper size (i.e. how much smaller than actuall 16x22 does the C have to be?)

I realize ProE has default .frm files, but the ones that I found look like a 3 year old made them on an etch-a-sketch (or at least autocad)

Anyone have a link or files???? Any Help is appreciated

Thanks

G

What standard do you want your formats to conform to? ASME or ISO.

The best bet is to make them yourself using the guidelines in the appropriate spec. yes, it does take some time, but the end results are waht you really need.

If you already have your own tables, that makes it harder to use someone else's formats.

The basic formats are just a set of lines. I did mine using an imported sketch.

could you tell me how much smaller than paper size the extents should be?

where could i find the ISO and ASME stds (without having to buy them)

thanks

i guess there's no easy way to create a format file.. it's the tedious work that you need to do it once..

it would be a good idea to design your format in autocad, export to dxf and import this dxf file from proe, scale it to fit your papersize in proe, only then you start to work on the tables.. the rectangular frame on the new format file would be your paper size.. you can plan your format in it, according to your printer's printable area..

ptc has made solid modeling and assembly design so easy in proe that they've missed out the 2D part.. i'd say creating a new format with just proe would be my worst nightmare if it don't have the import feature..

good luck to you, G...
