Finding relation in large assembly

Hi all,

We are using 1500 files per assembly and we are facing problem in identifying the external references, as it causes problem with Pro/Intralink. When we save the main assembly it is saving also lot of sub assemblies and components even when we don't modify any thing in those files. I used global reference viewer and also Relation report in Intralink, but its not showing the files which are being saved while saving the main assembly.

Can any one help me to solve this issue,

Thanks in advance.

Hi DonChunior,

Thank you for your reply.

In our company config.pro, we have the following:

save_display - Yes

save_drawing_picture_file - embed

save_instance_accelerator - none*

save_model_display - shading_low

Scope_invalid_refs - copy*

As you have stated there is no option called - save_objects.

It is a valid option, but since you don't have it set explicitly in your file it's taking the default value, which is changed_and_specified.

What is that option save_objects dealing with? How will that option serve our purpose? The assemblies are used by 50 other engineers. Should the config.pro to be changed in all the workstations.

We are not able to duplicate or proceed further because of this problem.

save_objects
Determines when an object and its dependent objects (such as a part used in an assembly) are stored.
Options are: all, changed, changed_and_specified, changed_and_updated
Default setting: changed_and_specified
