There seems to be a 31 character name length limitation in Wildfire 2.0. I don't recall this in earlier versions. Is there a workaround or option to remove this limitation?
The 31 character limit has always been there. I don't know any work around. I hate it when software forces arbitrary limits like that, PTC should have fixed it years ago.
<DIV>Through the years, I've discoverred all sorts of file naming limitations from different parts of Pro/E. I found if I stick to these rules, all works best:</DIV>
<DIV>1) Only use alpha, numeric, and dash "-" and underscore "_". No spaces or otherpunctuation.</DIV>
<DIV>2) File anmes always start with an alpha-numeric.</DIV>
<DIV>3) Folder names should start with an alpha.</DIV>
<DIV>4) No more than 24 characters for the base name (up to the first period).</DIV>
<DIV>5) All lowercase for file names.</DIV>
