Extrude, missing martial against circle

Lennings

New member
Hi.

I think I have seen this somewhere but I cant find it again,
that the extrude fills in the missing martial.

I create an
wingnut.
I first extrude a circle and then from the side I create a
sketch for the wing. when I extrude this I get some missing martial
between the wing and the nut.

do I need to create a sketch to
fill this or is it a better way that makes this automatic.

thank
for the all the topic.

Martial= Material!

Sketch the wing profile so that it interferes with the nut. Like this:

<b style="font-weight: bold;">thanks for the reply.

that is a way to it, when the ring is [/b]thick enough.

otherwise i guess that i can make 2 sketches from the sides and extrude to centre.
or do the centre hole last.

hmm many ways to do it.

Lennings,

There many tools in sketcher mode to get you the shape you need. The goal is to use as few features as possible, and to make it easy to change in the future. Be creative!

You may want to sketch the wing Before doing the hole in the cylinder. that way you can sketch the wing all the way to the center of the part. The hole will cut off the extra.
