As far as my knowledge is concern, This format is the catia native format and not the neutral format which can be easily imported by any other software. This format has been used by catia users to open the file from one catia system to other catia system.
So the best option is to export the file in neutral format OR,
You can try with the option module of PTC called Pro/E Interface - for CATIA. For this option you may require *.ct format of CATIA.
