I am not an expert on the Catia GSA as you may read from my post submitted just after yours. However to make a part from an assy I do Tools/Gererate CatPart from CatProduct then Insert/Boolean Operations and assemble all the parts. This will mesh providing there are no gaps.

why don't you add all solid bodies into your translated part file in solidworks?


if all solid bodies were added together, you should see only "partbody" or body (green gear icon) on the part tree after opening it in catia.


one big limitation for this method, all components must be made of ONE material.
