Driving Model Dims with Excel?

I'm wanting to driving X,Y,Z coordinates for point arrays with Excel spreadsheets and be able to reread those spreadsheet, with changes.

Currently we use a pattern table and read the data into that and it works quite nicely. Then for a table on the drawing we manually add each dim (&Dxx.x). When a few points change it's no big deal. Just change it in the drawing table and done. Sometimes we have on the order of 200-300 point changes/edits. These can't be read into the pattern table or you get new point ID's and anything referenced to those points FAILS. Ugh!

Is there a way of driving model dims from and Excel spreadsheet and having the same spreadsheet info. (table form) displayed on a drawing sheet?

Thanks in advance for the help.
