drawing view deletion problem

I am working in 2001. I added a view X to a drawing.

I later decide to delete view X. I try to put a new

view X on the drawing and it says that view name

already exists. I know there is a way to completely

delete this view X isnt there????

I assume that you come up with this problem when you created a projection> section view from your general view and then you name your section view as

This may be stating the obvious, but make sure you deleted the view and didn't just erase it.



Otherwise, I think xcad hit it on the head, go delete your x-section from the model.
