Document Managment In PRO/E

I have looked into the some document managment systems and was highly impressed by some. Specially this one http://www.synergis-adept.com/

Here is a the deal though,
After I spoke to our engineering team we realized that we are
converting most of our drawing to PRO/E , but with 100,000 drawings that are presently in AUTOCAD so it
will be a matter of years before everything gets converted.




So right now we have a sort of a hybrid system, with all new
drawing being done in PROE but the old ones in AUTOCAD. Does anyone know if there are there any document managment systems out there that will help
us deal with both PRO/E and AutoCad drawings?
Right now we store drawings in directories and its really hard searching and finding the right drawings. So any software that can handle both PRO/E and AutoCad document managment will be GREAT. Any ideas?

INTRALINK 8 FROM PTC


WHICH JUST CAME OUT WILL STORE AUTOCAD DRAWINGS AMONG ALMOST ANY DATA TYPE NOW SOLIDWORKS. PDF. EXCEL.......

Take a look at Intralinkand PdmLink.


Intralink can handle Autocad but not MDT. PdmLink can handle a loot of formats

Ok this what I found out. We already have Intralink 3.3. Do you guys know if this version will manage AutoCad Drawing for us too? Is there a way for it to insert AutoCad drawing information into The Intralink db.? Or do we need intralink 8?

Intralink can manage AutoCAD. We have many customers who manage Pro/E and AUtoCAD.

Thanks everyone. Intralink 3.3 is already in place in our company. Can we use legacy autocad files with intralink 3.3? Are there tools to incorporate autocad in intralink? Any tutorials? Thanks for the help.

I think it is possible to use aotucad with Ilink 3.3. I have heard of companyes who have done it.

We are using i-link 3.2 to manage Autocad files and MS-Office files as well.
Works acceptable once you have set all launch commands properly.
