Dimensioning of hole in drawing

LOLA-Christian

New member
I have a problem with dimensioning a hole in a drawing.

The actual part is not created in ProE, instead it is based on a STP-model, therefor the actual feaure is not "present", which means I need to pick it up with "insert dimension".

The problem is that this is what I can get with "insert dimension":

But I would like to have like this (

Try left-clicking on the hole twice then accept, this should give you a diameter where as a single click and accepting gives you the radius.

This might be one of those obscur bits of knowlege you will stumble across, at least for me I discovered it quite by accident rather than from any of the "help" files.

This trick is valid even in the sketch mode and has been in
existance since perhaps version 20. Yes it is not in the
help files.
Another trick which is not in the help file is.....
While dimensioning... drag the dimension...with the left
button pressed, toggle the right click button. Notice what
happens to the dimension arrow. The result is for you to
try.
