hi everybody,

I have a problem in Detailing

I have added dual dimensioning. My problem is that

in inch dimension e.g., 1.0039 and it is showing 1.003 when I am changinig digital place What I need is it should show 1.004

Can anyboby help me ?

Thanks

Manoj

For dual dimensions, Pro/E truncates the decimal places (rather than rounding). It's meant to make the primary tolerance the driver. So, some of your mm > inch conversions appear to be incorrect.

I've not yet found a way of solving this - maybe one for the Wish List forum?

Has anyone got anything to say about this issue?

Example:

When showing secondary dimensions and tolerances, Pro/E TRUNCATES the
dimensions, rather than rounding them. For instance, an imperial
size of 0.003inch should become 0.0762mm - & at 2 dec.places this should read 0.08mm but gets truncated to 0.07mm.

I had asked PTC about this, but they said it was based on an international standard - anyone know what this is?

Cheers

Ed
