Delete key doesn't work...

Here's an unusual one:

A colleague has for years been using his delete key on the keyboard to remove drawing & sketch entities, etc...



Now - suddenly this method doesn't work.. he has to resort to right-click > delete.



any ideas?

I had a similar problem in 2001.

It didnt always happen and it was cured by restarting the machine.

They sorted it eventually - seems to have something to do with the selection method. (under Edit menu)
