Hello Pro/E users



I have a question regards the sketcher mode in Pro/e. When i want to take data from file from:

Sketch, Data from file, the system allows me to have data from : *.drw, *.sec, *.igs, *.dwg.

When i use the *.drw option the system opens the file but doesn't allow me to pick the geometry i want. When iam trying to pick some edges nothing happens.

Am i doing something wrong, is it about a config pro option or something else?

You can't pick geometry from a drawing - you can only pick sketched or draft items.

One way round this would be to temporarily snapshot the views in the drawing (don't save), then create the sketch and insert the data.
