Haven't you noticed the dashboard in Wildfire. Except solid blend ,which is available from Insert menu, all basic features (extrude, revolve, and sweep) have all the option available in dashboard. In dashbard after you exit the sketcher, you have options to have solid protrusion or surface, and in solid you have the option for thin protrusion as well. You also have the option of cut material and directions as well.
