copying and patterning datum points

I am using datum points to represent pressure port locations along a wing section. Is it possible to copy the datum points between parts? I would like to bring my representation of the pressure ports into other versions of the wing.

I am also having trouble patterning the datum points along a curve. The tool limits the number of points i can pattern. Although the curves are very small ( .75" to 2"), I would think I could pattern an infinite amount (seeing as they are points--not objects).

I am using ProE university edition wildfire 4.0

any advice would be appreciated.

i have not worked much with points but i guess point cloud option can help you in this problem.
