The config options should work across versions, but your 2001 mapkeys may or may not work in Wildfire. I haven't found an easy way to evaluate mapkey compatibility. I just try them and if they work, good, if not, I recreate them in Wildfire. If you are heavily dependent on mapkeys I would suggest creating a separate config.pro for Wildfire that is identical to your config.pro for 2001 with updated mapkeys.
