Component interfaces

Are component interfaces a legacy thing? I can't find it documented anywhere except for a brief mention in the assembly docs. Are they just a convenience that are no longer really useful? I'm new to Pro-E.

go to www.cadquest.com and search for a quick tutorial on component interfaces. In this you predefine assembly constraints while in part mode.
