complex animation

I want to make an animation when at first my part moves around the axis and then moves along the surface. So i have to change the connection type from pin to planar. I switch to the standart appliction and change the connection type. But when i return to the animation application all the snapshots i have done disappear.

Use a planar joint. It has two planar translation and a normal rotation with respect to the plane. You can asign drivers to the translation degree of freedom and set them to zero ( maybe with a table). Mean while set anotherdriver to rotate the part once the part has finish rotating the translation table drivers should activate and move in the prescrive plane.
