I have a complicated model which required me to model two separate parts. I created an assembly so I could show both parts mated together. How do I combine them together in a .prt file so I don't have to have an assembly?
there's a join command in SW to join parts. I'm in work though at the minute using ProE and don't have SW here so I can't remember the exact sequence to join the parts.
Look up your help files for joining 2 parts as it explains it really well. The first step, you have already done, bring the 2 parts into an assembly. I'll open SW later and remind myself how it's done and try and post a response tomorrow.
Open one of your parts. From menu:INSERT - Part... and brows your second part. Position the two parts withmate. INSERT - Features - Combine... Make the necesary setings in Feature manager.
