I have an IBM A31p with MOBILITY FIRE GL 7800 video chip set and it runs choppy in spin mode. My shipped / current Driver cut is 5.13.1.6114. ATI is not helpfull for support and IBM..well you know.
Any suggestions with Hardware Settings / Cofig Setting would be appreciated
If by choppy you are meaning that the video looks like a slow frame movie (spin is jerky, not smooth), then I have experienced the same thing. There is a setting in your config.pro file called spin_with_part_entities and the default setting is no. Make certain that this is settiing is set as noted. Once I changed this setting, the spin went back to smooth.
