How to create a chain and sprocket mechanism like cycle


How to Create a mechanism for belt drive which have driven pulley and driver pulley and i want to apply the mechanism for same.

What is it that you require...?


Modeling a chain...? or an motion definition of the mechanism (meaning given motion to one, the motion is transmitted to the other.


If it is modeling... You may refer to PTC.com


If it is analysis, refer to the attachment.

But its useful just for animation, you cannot use it to analyse the exact chain drive.


If you dont have the ptc account thenuse the file sentto ur mail.


If u want to run chain with sprocket then use cam connections with lift-off.

Hey I am also making a chain but im running the schools version of pro e wildfire 4.0.

Thanks but that video tells me how to make the chain. I already have my chain but it doesnt tell me how to use or add the mechanism which allows each link to attach and reattach itself to the cog i have, which is what I need.

I know this is not useful for you but here a little information for you.


There is a very good solution in case if Chain and Belt construction in Wildfire 5!
