Can not print sketched spline entities

ERamsey

New member
I have a drawing and on that drawing is a sketchedspline entity to represent where a cable is going frome point A to point B. (quick and dirty per se)

When I go to print the drawing, theprint does not have the sketched spline. But if you go in and sketch a line, arc, or circle etc,on the drawing, itprints them out.

Am I missing something on why the sketched spline entity is not printing out?

Using Wildfire 4.0, build M050

I swear this was not an issue in Wildfire 3.0. Mainly because we had other drawings in the past with these types of "drawn" in splines.

Is the drawing view set to shaded, solid or other?

Zpaolo - View is set to No Hidden

Sip - Not on a hidden layer.

I can see the spline in the drawing/screen. Although when I print it is not there.

To clarify, The spline is a sketched line in drawing mode. It is made from using the spline operation within the sketcher drawing tools toolbar. Simply click on the drawing and draw your spline. It is basically a 2d entity.

If I click say line from the same toolbar and draw that it prints. I only have issues with the spline one.

Hopefully that helps a bit better than my first attempt.

You are probablybetter off to sketch adatum curvein your model. In drawing mode I don't use them unless I absolutely have to, as they tend to move around when you're not looking (you have to relate them to your view, and even then...).

I would agree, even if you do relate them.

Was just doing a revision to the drawing and I noticed that those particular things (the splines) were not printing.

Here's my work around:

Retrieve drawing

<File>

<Save a Copy>

Change "Type" to PDF (*.pdf)

<OK>

The PDF Export Settings window will pop-up

Click on the Content Tab

Check Mark "Visible Only" in the Layers option

Click on Format Tab

Check Mark "Stroke All Fonts"

(At this point you can check mark Color/Grayscale/Monochrome)

Click OK...Drawing pops up, you should see the spline on the drawing

Has worked every time for me, although have no idea why (found this out myself after trying for about 2 1/2 hours)

As much as I wanted that to work... all it does is crash Pro-E. (tried 3 times same result)

Go figure lol.
