hi all,
i m working with an assembly which is solely meant to allow the fall of 10kg of weight under the action of gravity for a certain period and then putting gradual resistance to this fall. The assembly is activated by a motorwhich is coupled with an spur gear. the spur gearis attached with a worm shaft and the worm shaft is driving a worm gear. attached with worm gear is a shaft over which a pulley is mounted and having wire to allow the fall. this shaft is a power screw type shaft and act as a slot for a disc which is acting as a follower. the disc is ultimately stopped by 3 pairs of helical compression springs. but this has to be done automatically.i ve made this complicated assembly, all the connections are right, nothing seems to be wrong. but the purpose is not yet acheived. the assembly does work for a little time and then shows the error of failing mechanism.
regards,
shafiq
