I'm looking for some guidance on producing BOMs from ProE.


It's something I haven't used really before and would like some advice from those who have used it.


What is the best way to export a BOM from ProE?


Can it be linked an excel file?


Is there a way that the excel file will update when the assembly in ProE updates?


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the links. They worked fine.....I don't fully understand them but need to read through it in detail again. Hopefully I'll get it then.

It doesn't seem that simple though.

I am unable to understand the programs written in the Link. Could any one help me to understand.


But usually for generating BOM'S in wildfire 3.0, we used to openassembly and then INFO>>Bill Of Materials>> and then the generated report can be saved as .XLS file so that we can open it in excel.
