Let's Joy! Beijing 2008 Olympic Games!

(P.s. you can download the native catia file from the link; you can modify the file a little bit to create the other 4 mascots! (fuwa))

Dicksham,
can you tell us what these creatures are? i can tell, one of them is a panda. what are the others?

"Each of Fuwa has a rhyming two-syllable name -- a traditional way of expressing affection for children in China. Beibei is the Fish, Jingjing is the Panda, Huanhuan is the Olympic Flame, Yingying is the Tibetan Antelope and Nini is the Swallow.

When you put their names together -- Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni -- they say "Welcome to Beijing," offering a warm invitation that reflects the mission of Fuwa as young ambassadors for the Olympic Games."

yeah thats great. is it the imagine and shape module?
are there any learning materials for that on the web?
Thanks

yes, i used the workbench "imagine and shape" of CATIA v5r16to make.

you can download the original 3d files next to the videos on www.youtube.com

Also, you can find other demos similar to these, but starting from nothing. The workbench is very easy to use, just "pull & drag"....(only need some skills to define the pulling direction & select a group of control points)

dicksham,

i want to thank you, because of your great videos on youtube and learning materials on your website. i'm using them to learn surfacing in catia.
excuse me but i didn't find the link to the part on the youtube page. can you place a link to the file here?
