Batch ’Where Used’ in Intralink

Does anyone know how to do a batch 'where used' report in Intralink? Can it be done without 3rd party software? If not, which 3rd party software is good for this?


We have many (30?) Project folders in our Commonspace plus our CAD Library folders. We want to find out which objects (parts)are being used accross projects by many Project teams. The goal being to identify objects that belong in our Cad Library.


Once identified, we would then check the objects for accuracy, add needed parameters, rename them with a Library identifier and move into the secure Library folders.


We are on Intrlink 3.3 and Wildfire 1.0 (will be moving to 2.0 at beginning of '06)

You could possibly use Intralink UI scripting to do this...? - it would take some work on your part, though, eg:


- record a script of your Report > Where Used > output...


- export lists of the objects you want to report on, then


- join the 2 together using a text editor & maybe spreadsheet..?
