Hi, I just purchased the exact ATI card for my home system.
I am very happy with the way it handles real time spins of my medium sized assemblies and surface geometry. As for the NVIDIA card I can not say as I have not tried that one.
here is the site i use to look up info on cards. hope it helps. =) I personally have the Radeon 9700 and the other computers in my lab run on the GForce 4. I think either card would be fine and I'd probably just buy the cheaper one.
