assigning .mat files

Can anybody help?

I have downloaded and unzipped the materials files on this website
however I can't figure out how to assign them to a part. When I try to
map the texture from the 'Detail' tab in Appearance Editor I can't find
the .mat files, only the default .tx3 files bundled with the software.

Can anyone see where I'm going wrong and does anyone have any wood textures?

Cheers

Chris.

.mat files are material properties files.. ie pissons ratio,,, modulas of the material... etc

.tx3 are textures.. but a ultimatly like images that get wrapped around ur model.

so .. u got the wrong files.

wf2 has a ok wood texture file.

Hi Chris

Unzip the files into any folder, say C:\proe\material

Then edit your config.pro file pro_material_dir and change the path to C:\proe\material (or wherever you put your files)

Next time you assign a material you will see your list.

Hello Kid ....

I suggest to do so #Edit #Setup #Material #assign #from file or you define your own material ....hope that this will help.
