assembly icon

i have been using solidworks for a while in conjunction with ANSYS. I have recently been unable to link the two applications with the CAD plug-in not found by ANSYS. Solidworks has also given a 'feather' to the assemble icons in solidworks tree.





does anyone know what it going on here? I have not changed any settings regarding Solidworks or ANSYS nor the CAD interface.

The feather means it it loaded as light weight, check in the open dialog box that the lightweight box is not checked, also in your setting the part will load light weight when you reach the limit you set in large assmbly mode.

This wouldn't affect the cad interface with ansys though would it?

Possible, because the parts are not fully resolved when loaded as light weight
