Gurus,

Silly question...how does one invoke/launch the subject

extension inside of Pro/E 2001?

TIA,

Brad

I don't remember exactly in 2001 but its under View top down menu in Wildifre and if I am not wrong its there in the same place in 2001. One thing you may get confused is there is nothing like advanced rendering. Its the license that allows you all those rendering options, lights etc. For the Photolux library you must install graphics library compatible with pro/engineer 2001.

Brad,

Advanced Rendering Extension for what I know is Photolux.

Photolux is only available in Wildfire and above. The way you access it is through Photorender, on the top of the dialog box for Photorender is a pulldown for Photolux.

View--->Color and Appearance---->File(Appearance Editor)------>Photolux System Library

Thanks for the reply Israr but I still don't see anything

saying Photolux anywhere.

All I can get is the standard Photorender toolbar to come

up and I'm of the understanding that this is not the same

as the ARX toolbar.

I've logged a case with PTC to try to resolve this and will post

that solution once they get back to me.

Brad

Straight from PTC...Moroso was correct.

The ADVANCED_RENDER module enables the use of the

Photolux renderer. Access to PhotoLUX from within the

Pro/ENGINEER photorendering setup menu is not intended

for customer use until Pro/ENGINEER release Wildfire.

This option is only available as a beta version in release

2001. As of Pro/ENGINEER 2001, datecodes 2001490

and beyond, this option is not available.
