X-Ray Rendering

Rendering Gurus,

Is it possible to render a part to look like an X-Ray with Pro/E? We need the rendering to follow physics rules for X-Rays (shadow density is proportional to the absorption of the source rays in the solid material).

It seems it would be possible with transparency if refraction could be switched off. Does Pro/E account for refraction.

The renderings should look similar to the second picture from the bottom in this link:

Thanks for any help.

hmm.. you can turn off refraction alright but as for getting an accurate representation, well I dunno..

I think it may be possible to copy an image but to use it to analyse something, I dont think its possible, but I could be wrong!

Good luck and sorry I couldn't be of more use!
